“It is my passion and commitment to learning and sharing the joy that comes from self-discovery. Through my own journey, I have uncovered and implemented a multi-disciplinary approach to deepening mindfulness and causing the life I want to have, to happen. I show up in support of others on their own path through multiple disciplines as well. I look forward to co-creating!”

All About my Beautiful Life - Travel & Lifestyle - Alyssa Workman
Motherhood
My transition from maiden to mother was and continues to be the biggest learning and blessing in my life. My child is my compass. She inspires my will and commitment to transforming my life. Through her, I am reminded to practice presence, loving awareness, kindness, curiosity, playfulness, and purity. Motherhood taught me deepened awareness and to lead with integrity, responsibility, honesty, organization, patience, persistence, joy, and exploration. I have deepened my compassion and nurturing for myself. I have evolved because of motherhood. My mother-like nature carries over and through my gifts and offerings. I hold space with tenderness and nourishing grace.
My Own Transformation - Birthing a new incarnation
Giving birth was a catalyst in my own transformation. I surrendered fully and made a contract to commit to my healing. This was easier said than done. I followed through and continue in my evolution with a deepened appreciation for the work I have done. One of the greatest tools I have developed is discernment. Getting real has been the primary catalyst for my change. I share my story through how I live ad lead with ease, grace, compassion, and clear communication. The work I serve in this world is continually unfolding. My vision is strong, my will is strong, my courage is fierce, my passion is compelling, and my honor is inspired by truth-seeking and love.
I will share my story in more depth over time with blogs, and eventually a book. I will say this…I am happier and thriving more than ever.
Kambo practitioner in Utah
What led me to Kambo was my desire to try something different. I explored many avenues of healing my mind and body, both in western and traditional medicine practices. I attended talk therapy and outpatient treatment. Yoga and mindfulness practices helped immensely, however, something still felt lingering. The trauma I endured affected me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Kambo, in combination with other plant medicines, heightened my awareness and aided in promoting healing. My dissociation lifted, and I became motivated to take responsibility for my life. Inflammation significantly reduced, and I am moving more freely. Unhealthy cravings dissipated, and I choose optimal health. I cleared the mental and physical fog. I chose differently. In a spiritual sense, Kambo continues to inspire choosing to work through growth.
In my own connection to Kambo, it commands respect and integrity. I did not plan to seek the path of being a facilitator and gracious keeper of this sacred medicine. One day I just knew. The call was invigorating. I could not ignore it. I found a mentor who is aligned with what Kambo has revealed to me. Kambo is a commitment, be it a commitment to sit, and/or a commitment to serve. I have committed to being in service for life. I am grateful to my mentor Juls of Peace, Love, Kambo. She has devoted her life to this work and paves the way in partnership for holding space with Kambo as a transformative wellness tool. Juls has a decade of experience in learning and working with Kambo. Some tribes she studied include Huni Kuin, Matses, Shipibo, and Yawanawa. She has assisted with opening and facilitating many Kambo clinics around the world. Additionally, she is a Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, and Timeline Therapist. I am blessed to be in mentorship and now in practicing partnership with her.
The path to practitioner has been incredibly transformative. I have been fortunate to have spent a full month with the Huni Kuin in Brazil to further my commitment and knowledge of this practice and culture of origin. I will share more about this process in time.
Music - Multi-instrumentalist & Vocalist
Classical music was some of my first exposure to music. Aside from my voice, the piano was the first instrument I learned. I was taught the Suzuki method beginning at three years old. I began playing the bass at seven or eight years old. I have always been connected to the frequency of music and the bass is the biggest memory I have of that activation. I was blessed to perform in the Youth Orchestra of America, All-State Philharmonics, All-Stat Jazz, All-State Solo, and other musical explorations. I pick up any instrument I have the opportunity and permission to, and I continue to grow my own collection.
Theater and performance have carried importance for me throughout my life. Music is medicine for me. My exposure to other cultures at a young age deeply influenced my passion for folk and world music. I am a multi-instrumentalist. Of all the instruments, my voice carries the most evoking and alluring resonance. I literally can change my frequency just with my voice. Learning mantras, healing medicine songs, and exploring inspired free flow keeps my sound well-rounded. I trained formally and informally in music. Both have served me greatly.
I sing and play my life into purpose through sound healing, meditation, and activation. Subscribe to my YouTube, where I will be uploading previous and current content. I would be honored with the opportunity to create a specially love-crafted sound healing for you, or to aid you in your own self-discovery through sound. Design & Sewing - from stitcher to custom wardrobing
Exploration and imagination have always inspired me to create. My love for performance and dressing the part kept things rich. I am captivated by textures, patterns, and shapes. With some help and guidance from my mom, I was self-taught in sewing until high school. When I learned technical design techniques, enthusiasm struck me. Initially, I joined the costume department at Utah Valley University, then I switched and completed the Fashion & Design program at Salt Lake Community College in 2012.
My internship at McGrew’s Costume Studio in 2011 opened the way to unbridled creation. Notable achievements and learning there include: altering a Veteran Marin’s uniform to fit his English Bulldog, corsetry, practice in pattern development, costume history and accuracy, and business operation. I had opportunities to assist with film sets, music videos, and photoshoots- both with the internship and with my own connections. I make accessories and apparel. Jackets, pants, bags, and jewelry are some that I most enjoy making.
With over twenty years of sewing and design experience, I continue to show up for this craft. I am grateful for clients whom I get to work with 1:1 to co-create custom wardrobing, or as I like to call it, soul wear. The capacity of creation is infinite and beautiful. I am driven to encourage and aid others in expressing themselves in all forms. The way one may dress can be an extension of self-manifested.
Travel & Culture
At a young age, I had the opportunity and privilege to travel and gain cultural experiences. I often joke that since my mother traveled overseas while pregnant with me, it is the cause for my desire to explore and transplant myself across the globe. My curiosity flows into all areas of my life. The discovery and exploration of new ideas, cultures, and places give me purpose and fulfillment. I am passionate about language and traditional practices. I have been fortunate to experience so much in my short life. All the countries I have traveled to include: China, Hong Kong, Slovakia, Lithuania, Poland, Amsterdam, France, Morocco, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Panama, Costa Rica, Canada, Brazil and over 40 states within the US.
My travels influence every part of me and what I offer. I have deepened my respect and desire to honor all lineages and all beings. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to adventure. Thankfully, there are many left to discover.
Movement, Meditation, & Mindfulness
Body awareness sports and practices again at an early age. I competitively swam at three years old, and that passion remained through high school. Martial arts and dance followed soon after. I love movement, endurance, and the discovery of myself through these practices. I dance ecstatically as often as I can. Currently, I am preparing my body to complete triathlons.
My maternal grandmother began teaching yoga to neighbors in the ’70s. I never took it seriously until around 2010-2011 after a major head trauma occurred. In 2017 I began my first 200-hour yoga teacher training at Lifted Life Yoga and completed it in 2018. I am learning Yoga Therapy at InBody Academy since 2019. I have an extensive understanding and knowledge of multi-disciplinary yoga. The disciplines and lineage that I incorporate into my practice and offerings come from the eight limbs and include knowledge in Iyengar, Hatha, Anusara, Kundalini, Ayurveda, Pranayama, Anatomy, and Physiology. I have an emphasis on restorative and prop use. I offer meditation and sound, notably Yoga Nidra and vocal toning.
Reiki
I discovered reiki around the same time that I began to deepen my yoga practice. I had no idea what Reiki was, but I trusted the individual who suggested that I try a session. That session changed a lot within me. I gained insight and peace around some things that had caused me great stress throughout my life. I opened to magnified love, expansion, and compassion.
Several years passed before I returned to Reiki. That’s how impactful that one session was for me. When I did return, the desire to learn ignited within me. I apply this practice to my life and in congruence with my other offerings. I am Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui practice, attuned by Nick Mann at Reiki for Life. Reiki has become a powerful tool for myself and in aiding others. I am honored to offer this powerful relaxation technique on its own and in union with all my services.
